Payment is on the day of appointment.

 

For your convenience EFTPOS and HiCAPs facilities are available at the clinic for on the spot payment and claiming of Private Health and Medicare rebates.

Rebates

 

To assist families to access services the listed rebates are available.

 

Private Health Funds

 

Occupational Therapy sessions are claimable from most health care funds.  Generally Occupational Therapy will need to be listed as an option on your health insurance policy for you to be covered and coverage varies between providers. For that reason we recommend that you contact your Private Health Insurer to find out what your rebate will be.

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan

  • Formerly the Enhanced Primary Health Care Plan.

  • Individuals access the plan through their GP.

  • 5 allied health services per calendar year.

  • Rebate of $53.80 per session available. *

Medicare Mental Health Plan

  • Individuals access the plan through their GP.

  • 10 individual sessions available per calendar year. Initially your Doctor will refer you for six sessions and then after a review you may be eligible for four more sessions.

  • Referral must specify “Occupational Therapy” or “Trina MacAdam” (our registered provider for mental health plans).

  • Rebate of $75.95 per session available.*

 

Follow-up Allied Health Services for People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent

  • Individuals access the plan through their GP.

  • 5 allied health sessions per calendar year in ADDITION to the Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan.

  • Rebate of $53.80 per session available.*

 

Medicare Helping Children with Autism Initiative

  • Individuals access this plan through their paediatrician or psychiatrist.

  • 20 allied health sessions can be accessed up until the child is 15 years old, provided the plan is in place before their 13th birthday.

  • Rebate of $75.95 per session available.*

 

Medicare Better Start for Children with Disabilities

  • Individuals access this plan through their GP.

  • 20 allied health sessions can be accessed up until the child is 15 years old, provided the plan is in place before their 13th birthday.

  • Available for children with a range of diagnoses.Please refer to Better Start or Medicare Benefits Schedule of eligible diagnoses.

  • Rebate of $75.95 per session available.*

 

Department of Social Services - Helping Children with Autism Early Intervention Funding

  • Eligible children can access up to $12 000 in funding for early intervention services and treatment until they turn seven. 

  • Maximum of $6 000 per financial year is available.

  • Available for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who are diagnosed and registered before their sixth birthday.

  • Individual and group sessions are available.

Department of Social Services - Better Start for Children with a Disability Early Intervention Funding

  • Eligible children can access up to $12 000 in funding for early intervention services and treatment until they turn seven. 

  • Maximum of $6 000 per financial year is available.

  • Available for children with a diagnosis of vision impairment, hearing impairment, deafblindness, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Fragile X Syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, Angelman Syndrome, Kabuki Syndrome, Smoth-magenis syndrome, CHARGE Syndrome, Cri du Chat syndrome, Cornelia de Lange syndrome, microcephaly and Rett's disorder.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

  • Building Blocks OT 4 Kids is able to provide occupational therapy services to eligible families whose Capacity Building Supports funding is either self-managed or planned managed.

  • Children 0-6 years may be able to access Early Childhood Early Intervention; whilst older children may be able to access Therapeutic Supports under NDIS.
