Hourly Rate for Occupational Therapist                                                                                           $193 / Hour

20 minutes for preparation and documentation ($63.96)

All new clients will require a pre-assessment appointment and initial assessment appointment.

30 minutes for review of additional information, scoring of assessments, phone calls, liaising, emails and documentation ($96.50)

 

The assessment may consist of the following: Parent and teacher questionnaires if applicable, Clinical Observations, Assessments (standardised and non- standardised) selected based on the needs of the child, Goal Setting.

 

A written report is optional and is provided on parent’s request and incurs an additional cost, cost varies according to complexity of the report.

PAYMENT

 

Time of Payment

Onsite appointments - payment due on the day.

NDIS and/or Offsite appointments - payment due within 14 days.

Reports - payment due upon request of report,

Late Cancellations

Less than Two Business Days’ notice)and missed appointments incur 100% fee of scheduled appointment.

 

For your convenience EFTPOS and HiCAPs facilities are available at the clinic for on the spot payment and claiming of Private Health and Medicare rebates.​​

Occupational Therapy for Children

Rebates

To assist families to access services the listed rebates are available.

 

​

Private Health Funds

 

Occupational Therapy sessions are claimable from most health care funds.  Generally Occupational Therapy will need to be listed as an option on your health insurance policy for you to be covered and coverage varies between providers. For that reason we recommend that you contact your Private Health Insurer to find out what your rebate will be.

​

Medicare Chronic Condition Management Plan

​

  • Formerly the Chronic Disease Management Plan.

  • Individuals access the plan through their GP.

  • 5 allied health services per calendar year.

  • Rebate of $61.80 per session available. *

​

Medicare Mental Health Plan

​

  • Individuals access the plan through their GP.

  • 10 individual sessions available per calendar year. Initially your Doctor will refer you for six sessions and then after a review you may be eligible for four more sessions.

  • Referral must specify “Occupational Therapy” or “Trina MacAdam” (our registered provider for mental health plans).

  • Rebate of $87.25 per session available.*

Follow-up Allied Health Services for People of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Descent

​​

  • Individuals access the plan through their GP.

  • 5 allied health sessions per calendar year in ADDITION to the Medicare Chronic Condition Management Plan.

  • Rebate of $61.80 per session available.*

 

​

Medicare Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Eligible Disability Services

​

  • Children and young people under 25 years with a diagnosed autism spectrum disorder or other eligible neurodevelopmental disability.

  • Individuals access this plan through a referral from a paediatrician, psychiatrist, or GP.

  • Up to 20 sessions in total (lifetime limit) can be claimed across all allied health providers.

  • Rebate of $87.25 per session available.*

​​​​​National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

​

  • Building Blocks OT 4 Kids is able to provide occupational therapy services to eligible families whose Capacity Building Supports funding budget is either self-managed or plan managed.

  • Children 0-6 years may be able to access Early Childhood Early Intervention; whilst older children may be able to access Therapeutic Supports under NDIS.
